How to Keep Paint Rollers From Drying Out

paint rollers

Our house is getting a facelift with new paint. Last week we decided on the paint colors after buying several different paint samples. There will be a couple of colorful accent walls to bring some character into our house. If you have painted before, you know that cleaning the rollers is a pain. To keep the rollers from drying out between coats simply use plastic wrap!

We bought a roller for each color. Between coats, hubby simply wraps the roller tightly in plastic wrap. The above rollers have been wrapped up for several days and they are still good.

Painting has been a slow process. Moving all of the furniture, taking pictures down, taping off everything and keeping track of the kids has kept us busy. Paint and young kids don’t mix well! The plastic wrap tip has saved us a ton of time and I hope it will be helpful to you too!
