Deal of the Day sites are all the rage right now. There are new ones popping up all of the time. While it can be overwhelming, it is also a great way to score deals at a rock bottom price. Two of my favorite sites have been Groupon, Jasmere and Eversave. But there are so many other great sites to check out.

I found the easiest way to keep up with the deal of the day sites is to sign up for their emails. It is the only way I can keep up with fast moving sites such as NoMoreRack. The deals at NoMoreRack change every weekday at Noon EST. Today I checked in at 2pm EST and everything was sold out! If you sign up for NoMoreRack, they will send you an email just before noon with all of the deals for the day. This gives you a head start so hopefully you can score a deal!

Things to Consider:

Check out the deal fully before you buy. When I see deals advertised at Groupon or Eversave, I check out the website the deal is for. Just because the offer is a $40 gift certificate for only $20 does not make it a good deal. Check out the prices on the website – can you buy something for $40 or is everything overpriced? Look to see how much shipping is. Does the gift certificate cover shipping? Is the certificate good online and in brick and mortar stores? Sometimes the deal is only good at one or the other.

When does the gift certificate expire? Some have long expiration dates and others are only two months. Make sure you will be able to spend the certificate before it expires.

If you need a gift ASAP, sometimes the deal of the day sites don’t work out well. Before Christmas I was looking to buy a gift for my Dad using Groupon credit. Most of the certificates could not be used in time to for the item to ship before Christmas. It was very poor planning on my part!

Refer friends to earn credit for yourself. Most of the daily deal sites have a referral incentive. Referrals are an easy way to rack up credit to earn potentially free products.

List of Deal of the Day Sites:

Deal Pulp – Discounts for online stores and gift cards.

Eversave – Some of these deals are for specific cities. They do have a national online deal each day.

Groupon – Daily deals for select cities throughout the country. Some of the deals are for online stores which means you do not have to live in that city to buy the deal.

Jasmere – Eco-friendly products and retailers. The more people that buy, the lower the price goes!

Living Social – Similar to Groupon. Look at the Escapes – great deals on mini getaways!

MamaPedia – $5 sign up credit. Mom and kid National and specific city deals.

NoMoreRack – 8 daily deals. Currently offering $10 credit off a $20 or more order for new signups.

One Kings Lane – Home Decor. Earn $25 credit when referring friends.

Rue La La – Deals last more than one day. Household goods and clothes.

Zulily – Deals for moms, babies and kids.

I know there are several more daily deal sites out there. What are your favorites?
