How to Have it All

UPDATE: Giveaway Closed

Let’s get this party started! I am sooo excited about the launch of How to Have it All! The last six weeks have been a whirlwind- full of change, inspiration and reflection. I wanted to share with you my thoughts and goals for this site- and of course hang around for the giveaway at the end of this post too!

The road of life is curvy, you never know what’s around the corner.

That is my new mantra. Flexibility is something that I am learning- I am a planner by nature. These last few years have taught me that you can’t plan life though. In a million years I never thought I would be starting a new blog in 2011! But here we are, ready to embark on a new adventure.

Why How to Have it All?

When I was thinking of what direction I wanted to take, my good friend Ann over at Coupons Deals and More suggested How to Have it All.. I’ll let you know when I do. As you can see, I loved it!

I think it is human nature to want to have it all. But what does “having it all” really mean? Does it consist of having a high power job, a huge house and material possessions? Or how about a loving family with time to engage in fun activities with the kids? Of course we will all have different answers to this question. What I have come to realize is that just as soon as you think you have it all, life will throw you a curve ball! It’s what you do with that curve ball that makes a difference.

Goals

My goal for this site is to provide support and tips for the busy parent. It is hard to juggle work, family and saving money. I hear from people all of the time about the struggles of being a working parent and trying to coupon. Since I am a working parent, hopefully I can provide some tips! Of course this journey is not only about what I know- I am learning here too!

Please join me as I journey through motherhood learning to balance work, raising kids and saving money.

    Hi Renae:
It is good to see someone younger with a site like this. Alot of the sites are ladies that are more middle age 50ish like me. However, I have a 31 year old and a 6 year old so I enjoy the things about children also. Many of my younger friends need someone they can relate to. I see you like gardening, so do I, add some gardening tips or whatever your strength is in gardening. I would also add a focus of coupons and deals for children the age of your children – I think that will draw a “niche” for you. Work/Life Balance has always been a challenge for me at least for the last 31 years and if you ever figure out “how to have it all” I want to know – I have found it is alot of juggling and prioritizing but anything shedding light on how others find more work life balance while working full time and raising a family and saving money is a big plus. God Bless You & Your Site! G

  8. I’d like to see healthy recipes.

  9. I’m new to couponing to any deals, whether it be grocery stores, kid related stuff, vacation, etc., is always wonderful. Plus I’m wanting to learn more about freezing and I just read the post you had from Simply Organized about freezer swapping. Any recipes, tips, etc. related to that would be awesome in my book. I’m scared to try to do the freezing and it turn out nasty and end up wasting food.

It’s something you already have but it’s my favorite part of reading blogs so I would love to see more, and it’s recipes. Bloggers don’t try to be too fancy or expensive in their recipes so I can afford them and my family will eat them. I love entering giveaways but really the recipes have been the most beneficial to me. Love them. I have found some amazing stuff to try, and my family has actually approved. Lol.
