Barnes & Nobles summer reading program

Summer is quickly approaching! Many companies offer FREE reading programs to keep your kids engaged through the summer months.

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program

Download the FREE reading journal and record the books your child reads. After reading 8 books, your child will earn a free book! take the journal to your local Barnes & Noble to redeem the book. Your child can pick the free book based on a preselected list.

Book It Summer Break Challenge

After tour child reads five books have them submit the Summer Break form for a chance to win a prize pack. The prize pack includes tote bag, water bottle, mini flier, mini ball, sunglasses, jump rope, book light, Mr. Popper’s Penguins and a $20 Visa gift card.

Borders Double Dog Dare Challenge

Have your child record their books on the Double Dog Dare form and receive a FREE book when they read 10. This offer is available for kids 12 and under. Your child can pick the free book from a preselected book list. This program starts 6/1/11.

Chuck E Cheese Rewards Calendar

Print out the rewards calendar and record the books your child reads. Bring the chart into a participating Chuck E Cheese and earn 10 free tokens.

Half Price Books Feed Your Brain

Download the reading log and record how many minutes a week your child reads. If your child reads 600 minutes or more by July 25- August 7th they can turn in their reading log for $5 in Back to School Bucks. Feed Your Brain kick off is June 5th at 2pm at your local Half Price Books.

Local Library

Check with your local library about reading programs in your area. I know our library offers a great FREE summer program for kids. They do get prizes for reading a certain amount of books plus there is a weekly program with crafts, singing and book reading!

Scholastic Summer Challenge

Log your child’s reading minutes and have them enter to win a Klutz Book Prize Pack.

TD Bank Summer Reading Program

Read 10 books and record them on the Summer Reading Form. Take the form into your nearest TD Bank and $10 will be deposited into a new or existing saver account.
