Travel Tip: Pack An Extra Bag

We took a road trip recently and I came up with a good tip! We stopped halfway along the way and stayed in a hotel for one night. Instead of unpacking all of our bags and hauling them into the hotel we took one bag.

For that one night, I packed an extra bag with pajamas and clothes for each of us. This was a huge time saver and we were much more organized. We arrived at the hotel very late but it only took about 10 minutes to get everyone in pajamas and in bed. The next morning, packing up the car was a piece of cake.

So if you are staying in a place for only one night, pack a small family bag to save you time and from being stressed!

  1. It took me several years to figure this out, but when I did, it made life SO MUCH easier…especially traveling with 2 young boys! It makes getting into and out of the hotel so much faster!
