homemade vanilla extract

Back in September I told you all how I was making homemade vanilla extract to give as Christmas gifts. I bought the little brown bottles from Amazon with a swagbucks gift card I earned.

This weekend I filled the bottles with the vanilla extract and a vanilla bean. Since it has only been three months, I decided to place one vanilla bean in each bottle to make the extract stronger. Although, I think it is pretty good now! I have already been using it in my baking.

I printed a label from my home computer and used my scrap booking supplies to make it pretty.

I just love how they turned out!

Although it is too late to make vanilla extract this year, make sure you check out the other Heartfelt Holiday gift ideas for inspiration!

  1. Renae, so glad the vanilla extract came out so well. I didn’t get around to doing this in the fall but I think I’ll try this out now and have some good stuff for the spring baking and all the pancakes my husband makes every week.
