It’s crunch time! I am working on filling gift baskets with all of the homemade projects we have done. For families with young children, we made reindeer food to add to the gift baskets. This is a fun and easy project to get the kids excited about Santa coming.
Reindeer Food
1 Cup Oatmeal
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 Green or Red Sugar Crystals
Mix all ingredients together. Package in a zipper plastic bag and add a label. A popular poem:
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.
I came across a free reindeer food printable label that will make this project super easy.
I placed the reindeer food in gift baskets with the homemade hot cocoa, chocolate dipped marshmallow stirrers and applesauce cinnamon ornaments. Perfect for a family with young kids!
