24 Day Challenge: Days 11, 12 and 13

I am over halfway done with the Advocare 24 Day Challenge! I am in a groove now. Just two weeks ago I was sitting on the couch worrying, stressing and full of anxiety about starting this challenge. And really, there was nothing much to worry about!

I have stuck to the “diet” pretty well cutting out bread, dairy, coffee and sweets. I did indulge over the weekend with homemade strawberry ice cream at the strawberry patch. It was my treat for finishing the cleanse phase of the 24 Day Challenge! Plus I figured it couldn’t have been that bad for me with real strawberries in it!

One thing that has occurred is constant urging and temptation by others. My coworkers especially seem to want to offer me “bad” food even though they know I am taking this challenge. Today it was pizza! Really I had no desire to have the pizza. Yesterday I ran 1.5 miles and my pedometer calculated I burned 170 calories. As I watched my coworkers eat their pizza drenched in garlic butter sauce I couldn’t help but think how many miles they would have to run to burn off those calories! For me, it wasn’t worth the sacrifice. Now I am not saying I will never eat pizza again, because I am sure I will. But for right now I am happy eating healthy food and getting my body in shape!

Thankfully AdvoCare comes with a great support system! There are facebook groups available for support. I receive positive messages from my sponsors on a daily basis. It’s like having my own cheerleaders! Yay for cheerleaders! In my opinion, it is difficult to stick with a plan unless you have a support team- and this is true for most things in life!

If you missed the beginning of my challenge make sure you read my AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge journal.
