In the middle of winter, your skin just might need a new friend——-an oil moisturizer!?! Coconut oil is used in many kitchens across our country but it can also be used as a moisturizer.

Dr. Ashton from “The Doctors” was quoted in Prevention magazine, “I noticed a huge improvement in my skin when I started exfoliating nightly, then applying either a retinol cream or coconut oil as a moisturizer. Exfoliating allows the next product to penetrated deeply, and alternating the powerful anti-ager retinol with natural coconut oil is like a one-two punch for skin.”

bath salt and scrub

As we come to the end of January, think through your own skin’s daily regime. Are you ready for something new? A homemade bath & body sugar scrub, coconut oil, or…….all skin needs its own routine to flourish. Drink water. Exercise. Eat clean. But don’t forget about the surface of your skin at the end of the night….

What’s your winter skin plan?

Thanks Prevention magazine for the reminder that coconut oil can be used.
