Affordably Adding Whites to Your Wardrobe

White looksDo you love WHITES!?! How often are you adding them to your wardrobe!?! I (Litsa) have always loved whites—linen pants, white fully lined crisp cotton pants, white button up tops, white tee shirts, white shorts—-and more!?! However, my life doesn’t revolve around runways! In my whites, I teach, cook, mother, shop, play, and more!

So how do I add whites to my closet and make them affordable!?! Getting my money’s worth…..on each white piece that I add to my closet (and remove from my closet before it IS fully worn out)!?!

I’ve always done well wearing whites and keeping them fairly clean—-or OXI-cleaning stains right out of my favorite whites but periodically there’s a favorite white piece of clothing that I can’t seem to give up (even though it’s stained) since I overpaid for it’s luxuriousness!

However, I did read or hear somewhere that we should NEVER over pay for whites that do stain and tend not to wear out before they have yellowed or have been spotted with ‘life’ messes!?! Thus, this spring season, I have started looking for whites that are EASY on the budget.

WhitesThis past month, I was able to find a spotless white (fully lined) Boston Proper skirt for $2 at a thrift store in Georgia while traveling. Additionally, I found a pair of white capri (spot FREE & fully lined) for $2.25 at the local Goodwill store—and these NEW white shorts from Maurices on the Goodwill shelf for only $2.15! AND if I add in pair of white shorts that my sister-in-law gave me, I’d say that I’m ready for a season of WHITES at just the right price (under seven dollars)!

IF you love whites as much as I do, don’t forget to “shop around” without spending a fortune on your favorite pieces to add to your wardrobe!
