Cabbage is an inexpensive vegetable to use. I always think of coleslaw when I see cabbage but it does make a great warm dish too. This is really easy recipe that makes for a quick side dish. Plus you gotta love a dish with bacon in it!

Bacon Cabbage

4 strips of bacon
I onion diced
1 green pepper diced
ΒΌ cup or less sugar (as desired)
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 head of cabbage chopped in sizes you desire
Cajun pepper (if you want yours to have a kick to it)

In a pot, allow your bacon to brown. Toss in diced onions and peppers to brown a little. Add in your cabbage, sugar, salt, and pepper and cook until cabbage is tender. Serve hot as a side dish or alone in a bowl!
