Baked Bacon

My father-in-law is a pro bacon cooker. Every time we visit my in-laws bacon is sure to be included in at least one breakfast. Instead of frying bacon on the stove-top, my father-in-law bakes bacon in the oven. My boys LOVE baked bacon! Hubby and I have decided that we also prefer baked bacon over pan frying too.

Bacon

Place bacon on an oven rack on top of a baking sheet. If you use a baking rack it will allow the fat to drip off the bacon as it cooks. Also the rack assures for even cooking so you don’t have to flip the bacon!

Baked Bacon

We find that baked bacon is the perfect combination of crispy yet flexible bacon. The edges where the fat are crisp up and the meat is not overdone.
