black bean dip

It’s dip season! I don’t know why, but summer tends to be the season for dipping! We like to make dip for vegetables and chips. This is a healthier dip since it doesn’t have mayonnaise or sour cream! Lower calorie and a little protein makes this a great dip for summer!

Recipe type: Appetizer
Ingredients
  • 1 can black beans drained (15 oz)
  • 1 /2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion powder
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

  2. Or you can add a little bit of water to your blender and combine these ingredients in it---add water as you are blending so that your dip isn’t too runny.
  3. Serve with your favorite crackers and/or fresh vegetable spears.
