For more than 75 years the March of Dimes has been an advocate for healthy pregnancies and babies. The March of Dimes is a non-profit organization that works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. If you were born in the last 75 years or you delivered your own child in that time frame, the March of Dimes has helped you!

A few years ago, my local dental hygienist society participated in a March of Dimes walk. It was so amazing to see so many people out walking for the cause. The streets were full raising money for the support of healthy babies. The March of Dimes has now launched the imbornto campaign. The goal of imbornto is to raise money for the organization’s vital research and programs that improve the lives of babies and families everywhere. I love the motto for this campaign- “Every baby is born to do something great.” Each and every baby was born for a reason so let’s make sure they are healthy enough to carry out their mission!

I am honored to be a part of a team of 39 moms, representing the length of a full-term pregnancy. Over the next couple of months we will be blogging and sharing information on how you can help support the March of Dimes and imbornto.

So how can you help?

The imbornto campaign has some amazing sponsors that are offering some great deals for Mother’s Day! Simply shop from one of the sponsors are make a donation to support the March of Dimes. Support of the March of Dimes in 2014 provided 15,700 babies lifesaving surfactant therapy, developed by March of Dimes researchers, and gave 90,000 families with a newborn in intensive care comfort and information through NICU Family Support®. So amazing!
