I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for LISTERINE. I received samples for this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Making changes in your oral health care routine can be difficult. I often tell my patients that flossing is just like exercise – it takes a long time to develop the habit! In fact it takes about 21 days to form a new habit! My boys have been using LISTERINE® SMART RINSE® for about three weeks now. This fluoride rinse has become part of their daily routine. I no longer have to remind them to rinse; it has become part of their nightly routine.

I did catch Mr. B, my six year old, rinsing only. We had to talk about how it’s important to brush and then use the LISTERINE® SMART RINSE®. A good oral health care routine involves removing the sticky plaque first with brushing and then using a rinse to strengthen the teeth. The measured cup has made it easy for my boys to do the mouthwash all on their own!

B Flossing

Although my boys have made positive changes in their oral health care routine, they are still struggling with flossing daily. The LISTERINE® ULTRACLEAN® ACCESS® Flosser makes flossing so much easier for them but it hasn’t become a habit yet. At least they have the tool they need to continue working towards the goal of daily flossing.

I have enjoyed having the LISTERINE® POCKETPAKS® Breath Strips in my purse. After eating on the run I have found it helpful to have the POCKETPAKS®. My breath is fresher and I like how easy they are to use.

Developing an oral health care routine doesn’t have to be hard. Use products that make it easier for your family to incorporate dental health into your daily routine. Plus be a role model for your kids and you will be a Healthy Habit Hero!
