Charitable giving is such an important part of the Holiday season. If you’ve been a regular reader on How to Have it All, you’ve probably read several posts on World Vision, Operation Christmas Child, and giving back in general. Not only do Litsa and I give with a grateful heart during the Holidays, but we believe in giving all year.

I know that money is tight for many of us. Remember that giving doesn’t have to be big and it doesn’t have to be monetary. Give your time. Volunteer or donate unused items. There are so many ways to giveback to your community and family. This year my boys and I cleaned out our gift closet and donated toys to the Toy Lift. These brand new toys will be given to needy kids on Christmas. I’m hoping by demonstrating giving, my children will follow suit as they grow.

Giving back to those in need is also an important part of the Hickory Farms tradition. Hickory Farms proudly supports the No Kid Hungry® campaign. So far $4 million has been raised by Hickory Farms and their customers to support this campaign. The money goes towards summer meal programs, emergency food assistance, nutrition education, holiday charitable giving and long-term solutions for families in need. For every Signature Party Planner purchased this holiday season, Hickory Farms will donate $5 to No Kid Hungry.

White & Dark Chocolate Peppermint Bark

For over 60 years, Hickory Farms has been apart of many family traditions. With a wide variety of specialty foods and gift baskets, there is something for everyone. In fact if you haven’t finished your Christmas shopping, a gift basket from Hickory Farms is a great idea! Hickory Farms now offers more than just their meat and cheese selections. This year Hickory Farms has introduced White & Dark Chocolate Peppermint Bark. This special candy is made with West African Cocoa beans and hand swirled with pure mint and topped with crushed candy cane pieces. So yummy!

So how do you help?

It’s so easy! For each Party Planner gift box sold this holiday season, Hickory Farms will donate $5 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign.

Also keep in mind that Hickory Farms supports our military. Hickory Farms has five products that they offer free shipping to military APO and FPO addresses. Send a little yummy joy to men and women that work hard for our country! The free shipping offer is available all year long!
