I (Litsa) can vividly remember opening our master closet once upon a time and handing my friend everything that was hot pink, pink, light greens, etc. My friend had just finished working on my TONE—-we worked on color schemes that matched my skin and features from clothes to make-up! Whatever didn’t make the perfect match was pulled from my closet.

Pairing the right color palettes with your skin tone can enhance your features and help you look your absolute best. Here’s a mini list that notes the best colors to match with your skin tone:

Cool skin tone (red, pink or blush undertones)—needs rich colors including black, navy, red, hot pink, emerald green, royal blue or dark purple are the best shades for this skin tone.

Warm skin tone (yellow, gold or orange undertones)—One with these undertones will need sage green, soft peach, gold, muted browns and bronze.

Neutral skin tone (mixture of cool and warm tones)—all colors work, so mix and match to find your best look!

If you’ll remember to take note of what you personally think you look your best in and pair it with compliments received, you might discover that you’re a mixture of cool and warm tones or that you favor just one! Fall is a great season to rediscover your tones. I must say that natural palettes of skin tone are perfect when paired with the right colors.

I’m always on alert for fit, fabric materials, ease of washing/drying, durability, and tone while shopping for new clothes and/or gently used clothes at thrift stores. Style is made up of each of these for me personally!

When shopping for new clothes, do you consider your tone?
