Core Stability With a Balance Disc

Balance and stability are important for function in daily life. When I first started working with my coach, my balance was terrible. This was due to the fact that my core muscles were not stable and my hips were locked. I have added a balance disc into my workout routines with great results.

A balance disc will help you strengthen and stabilize core muscles. The discs are useful for many exercises- standing on the disc or sitting on the disc. I use my J/fit balance Disc for situps, standing on one leg for balance and to do squats.

I also have the Fitter Active Sitting Disc that I use at work. I use this disc for sitting. This active sitting disc helps improve posture while strengthening the core at the same time! I have been using the disc at work for three weeks now and I have noticed a huge improvement in my posture. Do not use the disc all day. Use it on and off throughout the day. I use it for about 30 minutes and then take an hour break. I find that I can easily maintain good posture when I am not using it now since my muscles remember what it feels like to sit on the disc.

I highly recommend you add a balance disc into your routine! If you sit for long periods of time, you will benefit greatly from sitting on a balance disc. It’s like sitting on an exercise ball without hauling the big ball around!
