Daddy Daycare: Power Tools

Being a son of a stay at home dad has many benefits. Of course the main benefit is that the boys have quality time with their father. Mr. B will tell you that his favorite part of having a stay at home dad is that he gets to use power tools!

Hubby recently stained these cabinets that we picked up at a yard sale. Since he needed to keep Mr. B busy too, he decided to show him how to sand. Hubby let Mr. B wear his noise cancelling headphones (gotta protect those precious young ears!) and showed him how the sander works.

For Mr. B this was FUN– not work at all! And the cabinets came out beautifully (I’ll have to take pictures soon to show you!)

Of course, hubby never let’s the kids use power tools unattended. Safety is always first. Both boys have had the opportunity to use the sander, power drill and leaf blower. They are lucky to have a dad showing them how to use these useful tools! If it was left up to me, they would only know how to use the kitchen power tool- my KitchenAid mixer!

Hubby is currently a stay at home dad to our two boys. Capt. M is 6 and in 1st grade and Mr. B is 4 and loves staying home with daddy all day. Join us as we chronicle our journey adjusting to daddy daycare.
