Baked Pita Chips Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 whole wheat pita rounds
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt grinder
  • Pepper grinder
  • Sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Lightly spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
  3. Brush one side of each pita round generously and completely with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and sesame seeds---you want to make sure the seasonings are distributed as evenly as possible over the pita round.
  5. Slice the pita rounds like you would a pizza into 8 equal triangles.
  6. Place triangles in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Pita chips are finished baking when they are a deep golden brown and crisp to the touch.
  8. Remove from oven & cool completely.
  9. Serve & enjoy! Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Notes
Experiment with alternative spices depending on what dip you’re going to be pairing them with. I’d suggest: salt & vinegar, ranch, garlic & herbs, rosemary & thyme, onion & poppy seed etc.
