Whole Wheat Rotini with Pumpkin & Meat Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
13.25 oz. whole wheat rotini
1 lb. lean ground beef or ground turkey
24 oz. marinara sauce
½ tbsp. dried basil
Salt & pepper
½ cup pure pumpkin puree
1 cup shredded cheese (any variety)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instruction for al dente; drain & set aside.
In a large skillet brown the ground beef over medium high heat until no longer pink, season with dried basil, salt & pepper. Once cooked through drain excess grease and return to skillet.
Add marinara sauce, pumpkin puree, rotini noodles to the skillet with the meat and stir to combine. Simmer over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes or until hot & bubbly.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted through.
Serve & enjoy!
