Parmesan Rice Pilaf Recipe

Easy rice pilaf with orzo and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients
  • 1 Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ Cup Orzo pasta
  • ⅓ Cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • ½ Cup Uncooked White Rice
  • 2 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley
  • ¼ Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add orzo and cook until golden brown.
  2. Stir in onion and cook until onion is soft and translucent; about 3 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
  4. Stir in rice, chicken broth and parsley. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil. Once at a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 20 minutes. The rice should be tender and liquid absorbed when done.
  5. Remove from heat and add Parmesan cheese.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
