The Fitness Dress

Several fitness magazines arrive in my mailbox throughout the year—many of them are previewed and then tossed into the recycle bin before I order everything I love (some items just have to come keep me company so they are ordered)! However, I can’t possibly pay top dollar for fitness dresses—-are they really worthy it!?!

I never knew until I found one on a clearance rack at TJMaxx this past winter.

Size small.

Winter weight, dry skin—would it ever pass the fitness test? For $5.00, I knew it should but first it had to pass the dressing room trial.

A perfect fit……

My first (Litsa’s) ever fitness dress purchase! Three months later, I’ve had the opportunity to wear it over and over again. I laughed out loud at the ‘dress decree’ featured in Title Nine’s catalog because I could make my own “Fitness Dress Decree”:

  1. Pull it on. Add flip flops—and you’re out the door!
  2. Perfect for morning drop offs, the farmer’s market, the park, yard work, & more.
  3. Stretches with you from one week to the next (a dress that understands an active woman’s body)!
  4. Wash, wear, repeat.
  5. Add running shoes—run a mile or just leave the shoes under the swing as you curl up with a magazine/book.
  6. Workout ready but showcases all your tired muscles on rest days too.
  7. Always ready for vacation—-even if it’s a staycation.
  8. Yes. One needs more than one.

I know that I’m searching for more fitness workout dresses for my personal fitness/lounge day closet. I’ve already washed and worn my fitness dress three times since spring arrived——and we haven’t even had temperatures above seventy yet! When the season’s temperatures taunt summer’s heat, I’m sure that I’ll need more than one fitness dress!

Do you have a favorite fitness dress ready to play/lounge in this spring/summer?
