My family loves ranch dressing and dip. After reading the labels on the ranch packets and discovering they contained MSG, I decided to come up with my own ranch seasoning recipe. It is actually very easy to make your own seasoning!

Homemade Ranch Seasoning

2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley
1 Tablespoon Dried Dill
4 teaspoons Onion Powder
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Dried Minced Garlic
1/2 teaspoon Ground Pepper
3/4 teaspoon Paprika

Measure out all of the spices and combine in a bowl. Place in a blender and pulse a few times. Blend until spices are combined and smooth. Store in an airtight container.

To make ranch dressing mix 1 Tablespoon ranch mix with 1 cup milk and 1 cup mayonnaise. To make a ranch dip combine 1 Tablespoon ranch mix with 1 cup sour cream.

Tips

  • I made four batches of the mix to give as gifts. I will package the mix in glass spice jars but you could also just package in zipper bags. Make sure to include instructions.
  • For the blending process, I used my KitchenAid Immersion Blender with the chopper attachment. I love, love, love this immersion blender set and use it almost daily.
  • Spices can be found pretty inexpensively. Usually you can find store brands on sale for about $1 a bottle. Also look at Dollar Tree.
