Holiday Family Traditions | #HickoryTradition

Family traditions are a big part of our Holiday season. From decorating to family gatherings to traditional foods, we try to make memories each year with traditions. My hope is that one day my boys will pass down some of these traditions to their own families.

One tradition that my husbands family takes part in each year is buying Hickory Farms products. My mother-in-law still does stocking for her children. One item that is always included in my sister-in-laws stocking is Hickory Farms Summer Sausage. Along with the Summer Sausage, she also enjoys smoked cheddar. Although the Summer Sausage comes in both Beef and Turkey, my SIL prefers the beef! It’s what she’s traditionally had in her stocking for many years. Hickory Farms has been apart of family traditions for over 60 years now! Plus, Hickory Farms now has sweets like cookies and brownies for those people on your list with a sweet tooth.

On Thanksgiving, our appetizer table contained Hickory Farms Beef Summer Sausage slices. The whole family enjoyed having little slices of sausage to snack on throughout the afternoon. In fact we had so many appetizers we didn’t actually need the turkey! The appetizer table has become a running joke between my sister-in-law and I as we love to fill the table with little nibbles. We are foodies for sure!

This Holiday season I encourage you to start or carry on a family tradition with your family. Relive a tradition from your childhood or start a new one yourself. Whatever tradition you embrace, I do hope that giving is involved. To me the holiday season is all about giving and being thankful.
