Life With Boys: Just Dance

Since my boys are banned from playing Wii during the school week, they need activities to do in the evening. Dance parties have been born in our house! I turn on the Sirius radio on our TV and we all get down and boogie. We listen to a wide range of music from the 60’s, to 80’s, to Pop, to Rock and the Top 20.The lights are turned down to get the dance club atmosphere and the music is pumped up.

Our dance parties allow the boys to get energy out. They get to act silly and crazy! It also allows mommy to get some exercise! I am not a great dancer but the good news is my kid’s don’t care.

Another good thing about dance parties is the boys are learning about different types of music. Hubby is teaching them about rhythm and finding the beat. I have also started to teach them how to dance with a partner.

If you need a good family fun activity this winter, just dance! Get your groove on and let the music flow!
