If April’s Earth Day appeared and disappeared as quickly as it did off of my calendar, don’t fret! Any rainy day can encompass a GREEN artsy type of day! For today, just bookmark this page. As you gather the items needed for your own project, envision your next rainy day creating a project of this magnitude for a spectacular late summer bash at your place! Place all of your craft items for the project in one basket for an organized afternoon of creativity. There’s no need to finish this project in one setting. The baby shower invitations created above are envelopes made from recycled magazine pages (Real Simple Magazine). Additionally, the invites themselves are mounted on old paper bags and used dryer sheets to add texture and visual appeal. You will also note that Ashley used a piece of coordinating green scrapbook paper to add a different color element, but you could also add buttons, ribbon, patterned paper or scraps of fabric etc. I think that what you have on hand in your art stash will make your creative party invitations spectacular. Summer invitations that are hand crafted will be the talk of the party! Don’t think 30- just five or a small number for a brunch by the pool!
