Mini Memos: Get Fit

fitI (Litsa) enjoy reading a variety of fitness magazines for inspiration and for the many ‘mini’ fitness tips that I can file in my head and pull out of my magazines to help keep me moving towards FIT goals.

In May 2015, Shape magazine’s Pro Running Tip made my mini fit tip clipboard:

“To make your stride speedier & easier, check the workout you do the day before and skip the plyometrics…..doing a circuit of plyo moves taxes your muscles and will sap your speed even 24 hours after—plus make those miles feel harder. The easy fix: “If you do an explosive workout on Monday, save your run for Wednesday or Thursday to feel stronger, faster, and fresh.”

And a fit tip about squats….How low should you go!?!

A partial squat will allow you to lift heavier than when you go low by building more strength and power. However, a full squat works muscles in a wider range of motion—-more firming fibers! Which one do you incorporate or should you? BOTH.

So which mini fit tips have made your personal fitness files this summer? Drink lemon water, eat nuts, run stairs, interval training………or use your morning workout time for watching the sunrise as you stroll through your neighborhood? Wherever you are in your fitness routine, stay motivated and strong.

Empower yourself with many MINI fitness tips to stay fit for YOU!
