Keep Receipts for Trees & Plants

dead fruit trees

Did you know that many stores offer a one year guarantee on trees and plants? There is a good reason to keep your receipts when landscaping your yard! We plant new fruit trees each spring. Our goal is to one day have a couple of fruit trees for each type of fruit that grows in our area. Sometimes when transplanting trees the roots do not take.

We always save out receipt and keep the label on the tree until we are sure that the roots have taken hold. Out of four trees we planted this spring, two have died. Hubby pulled out the trees and is taking them back to the store with the receipt for a refund. Although there will be no fruit trees at the store to replace these dead ones, we can at least get our money back!
