Every day we are busy, busy, busy——but do we take the steps or park the farthest away from the grocery entrance!?! How many strides do you take each day? 2,000 steps is the average number of steps in a mile for me (Litsa)……7,500 steps is the amount of steps women need each day to have 50% lower incidents of depression (according to Prevention Magazine (October 2014)).

Do you log your steps daily? I use the Walgreens App/Dashboard to log my daily steps. It keeps me in check——-and allows me to earn money back on my purchases. You can also sync your steps with MapMyRun (another app that I use as I walk).

An app that Prevention magazine highlighted was Pedometer 2.0—it uses your smartphone’s motion sensors to determine how many daily steps you take. It even sends you a text each morning with yesterday’s tally. Or if you want to track even more fitness information, look into a Fitbit.

Step up your health with your personal stepping motivation—an app, a friend, your figure, etc.
