teacher gift

Can you believe that the end of the school year is near? Some schools are getting out for summer break this week! As a former classroom teacher, I (Litsa) enjoy seeing teacher appreciation week publicized across social media—-and love, love the gracious words of thanks shared among students, teachers, and school staff.

Throughout the year, my daughter and I have enjoyed sending in little notes of thanks alongside stacks of magazines for teachers and/or school staff to enjoy over the weekend. We have sent in cookies, cupcakes, cups of Sonic ice tea, chocolates, flowers, and more but most importantly warm words! Last week for teacher appreciation week, we pulled together a few other little treats to say, ‘We appreciate you!’

As the year comes to an end, think about what gifts fit your budget and take a few minutes to thank a teacher and/or other school staff member that has given your child something positive to take with him/her throughout their life.

Words of thanks encourage both the receiver and the giver.
