menu plan monday

My menu plan is about to change drastically. Over the last few months I have done nothing but gain weight. Even though I have been eating healthy for the most part, my metabolism has slowed way down. I used to be able to eat anything and not gain an ounce- I guess age is finally catching up to me! At some point this week (I think Wednesday), I will be starting the Advocare 24 Day Challenge! I am just waiting for my kit to arrive. Basically the challenge is a cleanse and a readjustment for my body. I will still be eating- no starvation diet here! I will have to cut out coffee, dairy, bread and sugar for the challenge. Most of my meals will be focused on fresh produce, lean meats, a complex carbohydrate at lunch, eggs and nuts. I will blog about the challenge as it goes just in case any of you ever wondered about how this works!

Monday- Chicken Stir Fry (Brown rice, chicken from whole chicken I baked on Saturday.)

Tuesday- Taco Salad for hubby and I; Cheese Rollups for boys (baseball night)

Wednesday- Grilled Chicken Breasts, Grilled Veggies on a Skewer, Sundried Tomato & Pesto Pasta for everyone but me.

Thursday– Homemade Pizza for everyone but me; I will have a salad with leftover chicken.

Friday– Grilled Pork Loin, Salad, sweet potato fries

What is on your menu this week?
