Easter is just a few days away but there is still time to get a craft or two done. My friend Heather shared her project with us today. She said that her mom made these cotton ball bunnies from a milk jug for her when she was a child. The great thing about this project is is is very frugal. You probably have most of the supplies laying around your house!

Cotton ball bunny supplies

Supplies

recycled gallon milk jug, washed
a piece of pink construction paper
black thread
cotton balls, about 100
google eyes
glue

Instructions

With a sharpie, outline the shape of a bunny onto the milk jug. Just a basic shape with two long ears. Cut the milk jug along the outline to make the bunny shape.

Use the pink construction paper to cut two ears. Glue the pink ears onto the milk jug.

Cut a few long strands of black thread. Dip the thread into the glue and place on a piece of plastic wrap to dry. The glue will harden and make the string stiff for the whiskers.

Once the ears are in place, start gluing on the cotton balls. Heather found it easiest to smear the milk jug with glue and then add the cotton balls.

Once the jug is covered in cotton balls, add the google eyes. Cut a little triangle out of the pink construction paper for a nose. Glue on the whiskers and the nose.

Use this little cotton bunny as an Easter basket for giving gifts or collecting eggs! Or it’s cute as a decoration too!
