Serves: (4) 8 oz.
Ingredients
  • 3 ½ cups (28 oz.) water
  • (2) Tazo Chai Tea Bags
  • 3 tbsp. dark brown sugar
  • 4 oz. Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (may substitute with preferred milk or milk alternative)
  • Ice
Instructions
  1. Boil water to 212 degrees F. This temperature is the ideal water temp for steeping chai tea.
  2. Add boiling water and tea bags to a heatproof pourable container that you can later store in the refrigerator and let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags, add brown sugar and milk; stir until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Cool on the counter to room temperature before transferring to the refrigerator to chill. If you prefer really strong chai flavor add the tea bags back to the jug as it cools on the counter.
  5. Once chilled, pour over ice.
  6. Serve & enjoy. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
