Simply Organized: Creating a Family Budget

In the forefront of many minds in January is the word “Budget”.  It’s time to evaluate the finances and get things in order for the dreaded tax season. I admit that I am not great at budgeting! I use Mint to track my expenses since it is free. I also have a goal for my grocery budget although I don’t strictly stick to it.

For the Simply Organized series, Alecia over at Savings & Stewardship had her husband write a guest post on 3 Steps for Creating a Family Budget. I think one of the most important things about creating a budget is to review and adjust. Each family will have a different budget that works for them. Do what works best for you- it will take time to come up with a budget that works well for your family.
