The Downside of Planning

I thought I would give you all an update on our trip and the savings tips I told you about this morning. It turns out that planning where to eat in advance is not always the best plan! In the end it worked out fine.

I bought a Restaurants.com gift certificate for a place within walking distance to our hotel. I figured after a long day of sightseeing a place nearby would be the way to go. Unfortunately what I didn’t know was that the restaurant was reserved this particular night for a ladies line dancing club. Yep, country music blaring and a room full of elderly ladies!

I mentioned to the server that we were on vacation and we had a certificate to use. She kindly set up two small tables for us to the side. The downside was it was a bit of wait for the food- but we had entertainment. Luckily I enjoy country music- hubby not so much.

It was an interesting evening!
