heartfelt holiday

A few weeks ago I shared with you how I dry fresh herbs for use in the winter. This week I came up with a gift idea for a person who loves to cook. I plan on making a gift basket with some of my homemade jam, fig preserves and homemade vanilla extract. I will look for other cooking goodies as well is add in little jars of dried herbs from my garden.

Dried Herbs in Jars

The home dried herbs smell so good and have more flavor than the store bought herbs. I thought it would be a great idea to share with others! The spice jars I used are from Crate & Barrel and right now they are 12 for $15.95. Another good place to look for little jars is Amazon. I made simple tags but you could also use a decorative ribbon and paper.

What do you think?
