What a whirlwind the last three days have been! I had a late night due to a school board meeting, Mr. M came down with an ear infection and we had a field trip followed by a baseball game. Oh and I worked two of the last three days too! Needless to say, I am a bit behind on my AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge journal.

Today is day 10 for me which completes the cleanse phase. I am so ready to move into the burning fat phase that starts tomorrow! Not that the cleanse phase was difficult, because it wasn’t at all, I am just looking forward to getting a leaner body. I have already noticed changes in my waist but I have a lot of toning to do.

Wednesday morning I woke up early and did an intense workout. Lot’s of squats that have me still cringing when I bend down! I took a break from working out on Thursday since I was so sore. Today I walked A LOT at the zoo and baseball game. Hopefully my muscles will be ready for a good workout tomorrow.

I did eat out twice in the last three days – once for lunch and tonight for an early dinner. Generally it was pretty easy ordering something that was on my “diet”. For lunch I ordered a crispy chicken salad and substituted the crispy chicken for a grilled chicken breast. The one mistake I made was I didn’t realize cheese came on the salad. Since I am avoiding dairy I did the best I could moving the cheese to the side. For dinner I ordered chicken skewers with vegetables and rice. The meal came with flatbread but I did not eat it.

My Tips for Healthy Eating Out:

  • If the portions are large, ask for a box at the beginning of a meal. Divide the food into the correct portions and place some in the to go box. This will help you avoid the temptation of over eating!
  • Substitute french fries for vegetables or fruit.
  • Avoid the bread.
  • Drink a lot of water as you are eating. Water will help fill you up!
  • Eat slowly to avoid over eating. Let your stomach to adjust to the food and have time to process that you are full.
