broccoli salad recipe

Broccoli salad is a staple in our household in the summer months. It is so easy to make! We like the sweet, salty and tangy flavor. Plus broccoli salad pairs well with most any meat! We tend to make this salad when we are grilling steaks or pork chops.

Broccoli Salad Recipe
Recipe type: Salad
  • 1 lb. broccoli florets, chopped
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 1 cup raisins or grapes (whatever you have!)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  1. In a large bowl combine broccoli, sunflower seeds, bacon and raisins.
  2. In a separate bowl mix mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar to make a dressing.
  3. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture. Mix until dressing coats broccoli.
  4. Serve & enjoy!
* Most of the time I use less bacon to make this recipe a little "healthier". You could also try using less dressing.
