Daddy Daycare: Stump Carving

Hubby has been cutting down a lot of trees lately. His goal is to get the dead and unwanted trees cut down before the Spring leaves appear.  Some of the trees have been large which leaves a big stump. Hubby can dig out the smaller stumps but the large ones are too difficult since we don’t have a stump grinder.

So, hubby decided to try stump carving with a chainsaw! He had watched a television program and decided to give it a try.

When our load of soil comes for the vegetable garden, we will also add soil around the stump. The soil will fill in right up to the frog’s feet. We will then plant strawberries! Our frog will watch over the strawberry patch this Spring!

If you have an obstacle that is too hard to remove, get creative!

Hubby is currently a stay at home dad to our two boys. Capt. M is 6 and in 1st grade and Mr. B is 4 and loves staying home with daddy all day. Join us as we chronicle our journey adjusting to daddy daycare.
