Spinach

It is so rewarding when you get to start harvesting produce from your garden! The boys and I were able to pick a bunch of spinach and lettuce this weekend. We will be eating a lot of salads in the next couple of weeks! If I end up with an abundance of spinach, I can freeze it for future use. Make sure you checkout my tutorial on how to freeze spinach.

Lettuce

I planted both loose leaf and butter crunch lettuce this year. They have been growing well with the cooler weather. Lettuce and spinach tend to bolt when summer hits so we will take advantage of the supply while we have it.

Our lettuce and spinach were all grown organically. I was thrilled to use the spinach, lettuce and cilantro from our garden in my juicing this week! Very rewarding!
