Max Lucado: New York Times Best-Selling Author

As adults and as children, there are many times in life in which we must keep the right perspective to put one foot in front of the other. The days, weeks, months, and even years may cloth us in heavy burdens and/or cover us in blessings. How are you encouraged to carry on?

My husband is a fan of Max Lucado, a minister who writes and a writer who preaches. We’ve only had the opportunity to see Max live at a Third Day concert several years ago but his best-selling books fill our home. Even when our baby girl came along and I turned our office/sunroom area into a playroom, I left Rusty’s collection of Max Lucado books amidst the rooms in our home. His words are simple ones but filled with encouragement for our household.

Even when Sophia asks for “Stars & Dots” for her Vanilla Bean ice-cream (Betty Crocker Sprinkles), we look at one another and laugh as we think about her Max Lucado book, You are Special.

As I browsed Amazon this week, I noticed that Max Lucado has another title, Great Day Every Day, to add to his extensive list of books and I thought about the message it may portray  for us, our family. It’s on my wishlist now so that I can surprise my husband when he needs some encouragement! And if it’s you that needs that encouragement today, here are a few of Max’s words: “……..here we stand: you, me, and our one-of-a-kind lives. We are given a choice…an opportunity to make a big difference during a difficult time. What if we did? What if we rocked the world with hope? Worth a try, don’t you think?”

100% of the author’s royalties from Outlive Your Life products will benefit children & families through World Vision & other ministries of faith-based compassion. To follow World Vision’s use of the funds, go to MaxLucado.com

Does your household have a favorite author that encourages each of you with his/her words?
