Seed Ticks

A couple of weeks ago I pulled a tick off our dog! I couldn’t believe the ticks were already out after the very cold winter we had – thanks polar vortex! We immediately gave the dogs baths and applied tick treatment. I wanted to remind all of you to starting applying flea and tick prevention for your pets!

frontlineWe use use Frontline on our animals. Since our three dogs and cat are all different weights, we purchase the Frontline Spray. This works for all of the animals and you just squirt one spray per pound of body weight. It’s more economical than purchasing the individual tubes.

Also, remember to check your family for ticks after being outdoors. Mr. B had  a possible Lyme Disease a couple of years ago. Remember that ticks can be very small. Last year we had several run ins with seed ticks on our pets.
