I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Orgain. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Physical activity is part of my daily routine. Most of my workdays end with me heading straight to the dojo for karate practice. In addition to karate classes, I also workout four days a week. With all of the activity I do, it is necessary for my body to refuel with protein. Microtears in muscles occur during heavy workouts. Protein is the nutrient your body needs to build muscle.

Many times people think of meat when talking about protein. However, there are many sources of plant based protein. I recently discovered Orgain Protein Powder which is an organic plant based protein made with brown rice, hemp, chia and pea proteins. Unlike many protein powders, Orgain is smooth and not chalky. It’s made from high quality organic ingredients and was developed by Dr. Andrew Abraham. This high quality protein was created out of necessity as Dr. Abraham went through cancer treatments.

Smoothie

Orgain protein powder can be used in a variety of ways. When I’m tired and get home late, I usually just mix it with almond milk in a shaker bottle. I like that the protein powder mixes up easily with little shaking effort! When time allows, I add it to smoothies, snacks or even baked goods. Protein in my breakfast is a must for me. Orgain can easily be added to oatmeal, pancakes, muffins or more.
