Alabama Tornado

2011 was a year full of natural disasters. There were many devastating tornadoes, floods and earthquakes. I wanted to remind you all that it takes years for people to rebuild after such natural disasters. Many people are still without household goods and trying put their lives back together. Sometimes I think we “forget” when we don’t live in the impacted area. The news stops showing the devastating images, life moves on for us while it seems to stand still for the victims.

Last week Litsa and I were reminded of the Alabama tornado from a discussion on facebook. Litsa and her family actually traveled to Alabama just days after the tornado to deliver supplies and the pictures in this post are hers. As you go through your coupons, pull out any that you won’t be using. If you know of a family that has experienced a natural disaster this last year, pop those coupons in the mail to them. I know it’s a small gift, but any savings I am sure will be helpful.

If you are a reader that has experienced a natural disaster this last year and need help with your groceries, please email me at renae@howtohaveitall.net with your mailing address. We would like to send as many coupons to you as we can!
