Save on Organic Produce at Trader Joe’s

A Trader Joe’s recently opened near me and I am in love! I used to shop at Trader Joe’s when we lived in California- but that was six years ago. Trader Joe’s has changed a bit since then; they now carry mostly store brand items. However, I have found that they have the best price on organic produce in my area.

We go through a ton of produce each week and I have started to lean towards the organic produce. I mostly shop in season for our produce to make the most of our money. After doing some price comparisons, it is hard to beat Trader Joe’s on many of the organic items.

Items I purchase weekly:

Organic D’Anjou Pears (2 lb.), $2.99
Organic Gala Apples (2 lb.), $2.49
Avocados (4 ct.), $2.69 ($0.67 ea.- the best price by far!)
Organic Kiwi (16 oz.), $1.99

Plus they have great prices on dried fruit and nuts. Oh and this week they had giant red bell peppers for $0.69 each! I have also found the quality of the produce to be great. The manager told me if I ever have an issue with bad produce to just tell them and they will replace my item for free! Love their customer service!

If you haven’t been to a Trader Joe’s yet, I highly encourage you to visit! I would also like to hear what your favorite Trader Joe’s items are!
