Saving Money: Call Customer Service

monkey callingThere’s NO MONKEYING AROUND when you are bound to save a few extra dollars!?! At least, there shouldn’t be…….

Do you keep good notes? Are you organized? Are you prepared to let businesses and their customer service department work for you?

When you cross your “T’s” and dot your “i’s” so to speak with watching deals and shopping when there are specific specials and promotions, you should be prepared to call customer service if the need arises!?!

A Victoria Secret shipment arrived at my door recently. It contained my order but only one VS rewards card that I will cash in on next month. However, when I ordered my shipped items, I was promised two cards. I quickly dismissed the missing card since it was only worth $10!?! I was busy unpacking from a spring break mini vacation when I set the money savvy organization aside. However, I did take time to clip the one reward card with my order receipt. As I made my rounds through the house, I came back across that order. It took about fifteen minutes to look up the VS customer service number and to get a call in—an explanation and my second rewards card is on the way! Now, it might only be worth $10 but it could be worth up to $500!?! So we will see if calling customer service pays me back this time!?!

I often say, “Sometimes you WIN, and sometimes you LOSE!?!” when you are dealing (aka watching deals and specials for BEST buys)! However, I have not ever ‘lost’ by calling customer service. I (Litsa) consider customer service my friend (especially if I’ve accurately kept notes of the deal/promo or other money saving technique). If anything, I’ve ALWAYS learned about how to shop better within a specific company’s store!

Do you call customer service about services and/or products you buy?
