The pepper family has many color and sweet members! These beauties are rich in Vitamin A, a key nutrient for eye health, and Vitamin C, which makes your skin glow (by boosting collagen production and helping heal blemish scars).

Every grocery store and late summer Farmer’s Market should have an array of peppers for you to choose from this month. Choose from:

Bell Peppers

Bell Peppers: These mild peppers (red are the sweetest and one of the healthiest) boast antioxidants that help fight failing eyesight.

Chile Peppers: The capsaicin in these spicy peppers can curb appetite, and red ones may reduce cholesterol, strengthen the immune system, and fight cancer and diabetes.

Pimentos: Not immediately familiar with these sweet, mild chile peppers. You are if you use paprika, which is the dried from of pimentos.

Scotch Bonnet Peppers: These peppers are so hot you need to wear gloves to chop them! Loaded with capsicin, they’re super-good for you, but stick to tiny doses.
