If your budget allows, after Christmas deals are great for stockpiling a few items for the following year! Think about what you need to have on hand for wrapping gifts. Or maybe what items you need for your Christmas tree or mantle. Make a list of items you and your family used this past Christmas/Holiday Season. Stay focused on what you use in your household to refrain from going overboard on your budget. There’s no need to buy everything you see on sale. Prioritize your shopping list and you’ll walk out refreshed—–on budget & prepared with your most specific needs stockpiled!

After Christmas Shopping List:

  • Scotch Tape
  • Wrapping Paper (Look for wrapping paper that you can use for birthday gifts! A red background paper with polka dots on it might work well for unisex birthdays! Add a pink bow to accentuate the pink polka dots for a girl or add a blue bow to accentuate the blue polka dots for a boy!)
  • Gift Bags (Red bags for possible Valentine gifts, brown cardboard bags for various seasons, etc.)
  • Tissue Paper
  • Ribbon
  • Gift Tags
  • Stocking Stuffers (at slashed 80% off or more) that are not Christmas related that can be used for Valentine Gifts, Easter Basket goodies, and/or birthday favors and/or birthday gifts
  • Toys/clothes—(at slashed 80% off or more) for birthday gifts and/or items that your family members need
  • Craft items (You might love crafts but hate the expensive tools and/or kits. Grab the ones on clearance now that you love and KNOW you will use for future products!)
  • Christmas décor—tree, tree skirt, ornaments, kissing ball, etc.

Again, remember that you are replenishing your stock for Christmas not buying everything on sale just because the price is perfect! Buy what you will use throughout the year or that will delight you next year when you bring out your Christmas décor to decorate your home for the holidays!
