J Lohr Estates Wildflower

Today we are headed to my home state of California for Thirsty Thursday wine tasting! The goal of Thirsty Thursday is to find good and cheap wines for under $10.

A few weeks ago I was in Vancouver, British Columbia. My dad spoiled us and we ate at several good restaurants with fabulous wine lists. My Stepmom and I found the Canadian Wines less appealing so we tended to steer towards California wines. On my last night there I tried J. Lohr Estates Wildflower Valdiguié and I was in love!

Wildflower is a red wine made of 100% Valdiguié grapes. If you like Beaujolais, you will probably like this wine. Wildflower has strong aromas of bing herry, pomegranate and berries. It’s like a bouquet of fruit! The first sip is a burst of fruit yet contains low tannins. Wildflower is light with a nice fruity finish.

Out of all of the wines I have reviewed thus far, Wildfire is my favorite! It comes in around $10 a bottle and well worth the price.

As always, make sure you drink responsibly.

Make sure you check out Kansas City Mamas to view the other Thirsty Thursday posts!

Do you have a suggestion for a good and cheap wine under $10? Please leave a comment and let me know!
